Mobility Systems
Mankowski Industrial’s work in mobility systems began more than three decades ago with the issuance of a patent for a stand-up wheelchair. That early work established a foundation in mechanically driven mobility solutions focused on function, safety, and real-world usability.
Building on that legacy, current development efforts revisit and advance the original stand-up wheelchair concept using modern materials, mechanical architectures, and manufacturing methods. The objective is to deliver a contemporary mobility system that reflects both the lessons learned from earlier designs and the practical expectations of today’s users and care environments.
This program represents a continuation of MI’s long-standing commitment to engineering-driven mobility solutions rather than a departure from it.
